Is MoaVoca a dictionary?
No. MoaVoca is a learning tool, not a dictionary you check once and forget. It saves your words and brings them back right before you forget, so they actually stick. The AI definitions are just there to help you get the meaning quickly.
Which languages are supported?
Eight languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), Spanish, French, German, and Italian. Pair any native language with any target — for example Korean → Japanese, or English → Spanish.
How much can I use for free?
Make unlimited decks and save up to 500 words total (300 per deck — a per-deck cap so decks don't grow too big to review). Spaced-repetition review and Learn mode each give you 50 cards a day (up to 100 with ads). AI audio in 8 languages, curated exam decks, friends, and community are all free. Photo scan is free 5×/month, and ads are included. Unlimited words, unlimited review, no ads, and all review modes are part of Premium.
Does it work offline?
Reviewing decks you've already downloaded works offline. Generating AI definitions and audio, and reading words from a photo, need an internet connection.
Is the audio really native?
It's not a human recording. We use an AI voice, Microsoft Azure Neural Voice, with a male and female voice for each of the 8 languages, fairly natural intonation, and playback speed tuned per language.
Does it help with exams?
We put together free decks from the standard wordlists of major tests like TOEIC, JLPT, HSK, and TOPIK. Because spaced repetition resurfaces words right before you forget, it's built for long-term retention rather than cramming.
How do ads work?
On the free tier you'll see a bottom banner ad, plus optional rewarded ads you can watch to earn a bit more study. A full-screen ad may appear after you finish a review or Learn session, or after several searches — it never interrupts you in the middle of a card while you're studying. Premium removes all ads.
Is it suitable for children?
The app is built for teen and adult learners. We keep discriminatory and hateful terms out of the word pool, but everyday words stay in — they're worth learning. For young kids, a dedicated kids' app is a better fit.
How is my data stored?
Your progress and decks are stored securely in the Supabase cloud. Passwords are hashed, so not even we can see them. See the
Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. All personal data — decks, study history, friend connections — is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Where do I get the iOS / Android app?
Search for "MoaVoca" on the App Store and Google Play. Right around launch the buttons below point to store search; once we're live they link straight to the app listing.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancel anytime from your App Store or Google Play subscription settings. You keep Premium until the current billing period ends.
